why a
women's grand Lodge ? |
To be a women's Grand Lodge does not mean withdrawal nor unwillingness to share Masonic work with men. This would be absurd in a world where mixed-gender sociability is the rule. |
This choice meets the need to find a specific time-space unit for thought and expression, allowing women to fully engage with their feminine identity and responsibility as women in the world. |
We believe, as Jean Rostand put it, that "if you shun your own fight, you will be made to fight for a cause that is not yours." |
Our all-female Lodges are privileged places where women can develop their ideas and their feminine discourse, where they can experience going to the end of their research for, as one of our founding member expressed it: "a woman Mason is an ordinary woman but a self demanding one". |
However, we are deeply attached to the principles of sharing and non discrimination which are the cornerstone of non dogmatic, liberal Masonry, and we welcome any male or female Mason who wishes to share our work in our Lodges. |
